AMT Futures Limited commenced operations on 1st October 1989 upon the acquisition by the AMC Group of the business of G W Joynson & Company Limited, a UK regulated brokerage firm established in 1890 as a Cotton broker. In the 1930s G W Joynson & Company Limited became a member of the UK’s leading commodity exchanges which continued on the reopening of the London commodity markets in the 1950s. The firm grew to become a significant presence in the broking arena.
